It's a Miracle

Chubbers is finally better after a long TWELVE days of absolute misery. That poor child cried, drank Tylenol w/Codeine, drooled, slept, cried, drank Tylenol w/Codeine, drooled more, and on and on and on every four hours for twelve long days. Once the scabs were completely gone in the back of her throat she was magically all better. She plays and laughs again. Our Chubbers is back... minus some chub because she lost weight through the whole ordeal.

Chubbers pre-surgery... lots o' snot.

Ready for surgery bright and early - complete with puss running down her neck from her eardrum rupturing again at 2:00 a.m.

These hospital cribs look the same way they did "back then." It's a cage.

Not feeling so hot. Poor baby!

Look at that chubby little hand. She's growing up too fast!

"What the heck did you do to me, mommy?"

This is the 2-ounce bottle the hospital staff gave Chubbers in the recovery room. When we got to her room on the pediatric floor I was holding Lydia in the rocking chair. This little bottle was on the table next to me. Suddenly her little arm reached out, grabbed the bottle and she held it to her chest. For the next twelve days this was her "woobie."

Sleeping peacefully.

The ridiculous amount of medication for one night between Lydia & I.

This was the next day. You can't keep her down long. Of course, the codeine helps :)
This was VERY short-lived energy.
