Middle-schooler rejected from trying out for girls volleyball team

Participation in athletics at Mirror Lake Middle School is booming. More than 160 students are currently involved in sports there, so many that practices have to be held in the morning and afternoon to accommodate the huge numbers of athletes using the school's lone gymnasium.
