In an effort not to obsess, I decided to shampoo the carpet in my bedroom and the upstairs hallway ~ only. . . for today anyway.
In Alaska, most people remove their shoes upon entering the home. This keeps the muck outside and saves the carpets.
We have hardwood floors which has somehow given my children the idea that there is no need to remove their shoes anymore because there is no carpet on the main level to protect.
The solution my children came up with: just don't wear shoes outside and then there is nothing to remove when you enter the house.
They're smarter than me. I hadn't thought to curb that idea.
I have come to the conclusion that shoes are better than dirty feet.
Especially after pouring a semblance of chocolate milk out of my new carpet shampooer.
My increasingly obsessive, pregnant brain is losing sleep!
How do you keep your floors clean??
